Photoblog

Monday, June 9th, 2008

It’s been a while since I updated this blog, but I have been busy with my new job with gloPlug. I was hired 2 months ago and since then have been spending my time learning everything I can about NetApp products, which we sell, and working on some coding projects. The only blog I have kept up with is my Photofrog photo a day blog.

I would like to upgrade my photoblog software to be easier to update with photos from flickr without having to cut and paste from my flickr photos. Does anybody know of good photoblog software, preferable something that would hook into WordPress?

New Photosite Launched

I have setup my own PhotoBlog at www.photofrog.ca. I will be posting 1 photo a day from my collection. The photos will be of anything I find interesting, and many will be around Toronto as I explore the city and capture it in digital. Don’t forget to subscribe to the RSS feed or by email to have a new picture delivered daily to your inbox.

New Camera

Thursday, December 27th, 2007

Well, I finally purchased a new Digital SLR camera and it is amazing! I got the Canon 40D with a 17-85 lens along with a 100mm macro lens for closeup work. Below is one of the first photos I took with the camera. Inside, no lighting but the light from outside.

DoubleTake Photo Stitching Software

View From Balcony
This image was created with DoubleTake a really easy to use photo stitching program for Mac OS. I created this photo is less than 30 minutes, including downloading, installing and purchasing DoubleTake. For $25 CDN it was worth the money. The images were taken without the use of a tripod, and full automatic exposure settings.
