About Me

I currently work as a Senior Consulting Engineer for gloPlug, a startup located in Mississauga. I am the Virtualization Expert for all things VMware and the integration into NetApp storage. It’s a good job and I really enjoy all the people I’m working with. I don’t update my technology blog as often as I would like, but if you are interested it’s located at: andrewrivett.com.

I enjoy the outdoors and previously was the organizer for the Hamilton and Area Hiking Meetup. Since moving to Toronto I have handed over the reigns but still make it out for the occasional hike. I spend more time walking in the city and exploring the concrete jungle.

I started this webpage as a way to share information I learn about computers and a space online to store my recipes, but now they have their own website at veggiefrog.ca. This site is now a place for all my great internet finds and a place to document my travels around Ontario and sometimes the world.

If I am not working or cooking then I am usually behind the camera. You can view my photos at flickr, or my photo a day blog at photofrog.ca.

About 10 years ago I spent a great deal of time researching my family tree and in the process started the Norfolk Transcription Archive. Since that time, the site has become extremely popular and I have now started a easier to manage transcription website for all the miscellaneous documents people find called UKGenScribe. If you are are researching any genealogy in the UK, then head on over and check it out.

I will slowly add to this page as I think of more information people would be interested in. For now you can email me with any questions.
